More About Me:
Here’s my credentials. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHPS) in Tennessee. I’m also a clinical supervisor who provides group supervision for pre-licensed counselors. Feel free to confirm through the state website. My licensed number is TN 2087. I’m also a National Certified Counselor # 94297 (NCC).
I value my training as an Imago Relationship Therapist and use the methods regularly including Communologue and Couples Dialogue. Also, I use Prepare/Enrich, Marital and Premarital Inventory often with pre-marital and married couples.
Influencial Relationship Experts
I’ve been privileged to train under renown relationship researchers, Drs. John and Julie Gottman in Seattle. Known for their work on marital stability and divorce prediction, their 40-year longitudinal studies fascinate me. Dr. Sue Johnson is a leading innovator having developed Emotion Focused therapy for couples. Her influence has enhanced my work with couples. Dr. Dan Siegel, a pioneer in the field of Interpersonal Neurobiology, has taught me practical techniques to promote well-being in the clients I work with.
I have an M.A. (Master of Arts) degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
I wouldn’t normally choose so many initials by my name, but I did get a second master’s degree, M.S. (Master of Science) in Christian Psychological Studies from Richmont University, formerly Psychological Studies Institute.
In my younger years I graduated from Bryan College with a B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) in Christian Education.
If you’re interested, before that I graduated from Gull Lake High School in Richland Michigan and didn’t have a clue about a vision for my life then. Check out my Face Insecurity article. Feel free to read more about me.
